Thyroid cancer

Thyroid cancer is the uncontrolled and abnormal growth of cells in the thyroid gland, which is butterfly-shaped and located at the lower part of the neck. More common in women, thyroid cancer typically presents symptoms such as swelling in the thyroid gland, hoarseness, coughing, and difficulty breathing. When diagnosed early, thyroid cancer is among the types of cancer with the highest success rate in treatment. Treatment methods include surgery and radioactive iodine therapy.
